Work in progress: Radial spectrum bars
Basically one step closer to Trap Nation visualizer in foobar2000, only when combined with linear amplitude scale and narrow frequency range only covering lower frequencies as well as mirrored spectrum

And it is bringing the circular spectrum thing from audioMotion-analyzer to foobar2000 as a feature for this component, kinda reminds me of @TRCTheRaul porting Classic Spectrum Analyzer plugin for Winamp to MusicBee

Hello, I wanted to know if I could move from Musical Spectrum (https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,123956.0.html) to this plugin? Currently my Musical Spectrum config looks like this but I am confused as to how I can retain the same functionality and look with this plugin?
There's no way to import the config. The format is not documented. Just plug the values from the old component in the appropriate location of the new dialog.

There's a problem in Secret Sauce. When i play some midis, they cuts in the beginning, and just sounds pianos, with weak pitch bends, and the map resets to SC-8820 (even if i have the flavor in GS SC-55), most of them sounds fine if i set the flavor in GM, GM2 and XG, but the problem is in GS and Default, however, some of them, aren't fix with any flavor. I leave you one of the midis that Secret Sauce plays wrongly, try it.
Is this a general problem or do you think it was introduced in a particular version?
Is a general problem, it was always there.
I'm absolutely no MIDI expert but isn't that logical? You tell the emulator to follow the GS MIDI standard. It just interprets what is in the file. AFAIK there's nothing in the file that indicates it needs GS.

General - (fb2k) / Mono Button on Toolbar
Last post by Drybonz -
Hey guys... I have hearing loss in one ear and need to listen in mono through headphones.  Normal listening through my speakers isn't a problem so they can be in stereo.  I have to switch back and forth and wanted to put a "DSP downmix to mono" button on my toolbar for quick switching.  I can't find a way to make a button directly access this option in the DSP settings.  Can anyone tell me a way to do this?  Thanks for the help... I appreciate it.

Bug report. I noticed that many files with Shift JIS text are no longer displaying properly.  Here are a few examples from my collection. These files first broke with foo_midi 2.8.2.0, likely caused by the copyright sign fix.
@Slender,

I did some investigation. The meta data is still recognized as Shift-JIS. What you see is the output of Windows conversion routine: code page 932 to UTF-8.

However:

- Mixed ANSI and Shift-JIS encoding wasn't detected (anymore?). That has been fixed in the next version.
- Some metadata events were EUC-JP encoded. I added support for that encoding.
- And while at it, I also added Shift-JIS and EUC-JP detection and conversion for lyrics.

If you only want to do that seldomly, you could use the built-in ABX component for that. It's meant for doing double-blind listening tests, but it allows switching seamlessly between two tracks.
Thank you for this!!
This works very well, and contains the functionality I require, but falls short in its execution (at least, for my purpose, I'm sure it's perfect for those who need it for actual testing). Sorry for not being as clear in my topic post :')

It provides good seamless transitioning and with Replaygain (and training mode), provides an apt experience. I failed to mention that this functionality was intended for casual use, however, and the "seldom" nature of the test player that the ABX comparator provides is unable to do so (only plays once, can't be switched with the ⏮️/⏭️ (fn enabled) keys, etc), to my knowledge. My bad.

Anything similar to the comparator but able to be used in a casual format, say, latched onto the Foobar2000 music player?

Thanks in advance, :D

(should also mention that I couldn't find the "built-in" ABX comparator initially, instead installing it from under the Components tab on the Foobar2000 website by Peter.)

(had to install foobar with wine)

squishyball exists you know ;)

I had to look up the name because I haven't used it in years.

So, the patch from here is needed to compile it successfully with latest ncurses versions.

Also, Opus support (via opusfile) appears to be broken. WAV support still works.

Looks like a modernized version using Rust+ratatui would be useful. Maybe I'll do it myself if I ever have the time.
