As far as I understund, it means the cut point didn't fall on a full frame so cuetools added samples of silence to make it fall on a full frame. It's something like that. I already encountered this when I tried to made a CDImage+cue of NIN free OEF releases which were released as online separate tracks & weren't compliant to CD. It shouldn't matter if it matches, I think. You can encounter the opposite "Truncated xxx extra samples in some input files".

What is the difference between "Playstation type data track" & "CD-Extra data track" other than the fact that cuetools cannot guess the lenght of missing playstation data ? Will the Disk ID be recognized if I simply delete the playstation data track in cue ? (Don't seems to work) Is the rip unusable with cuetools if I don't have the playstation data length at all ? The cue is weird, Track 1 is data, F2K will not even load it.

CD-Extra is an audio disc format with data track after the audio.
Playstation type has data track before the audio.
CUE sheets look a bit differently, but in both cases you have to know data track length to be able to use AccurateRip.
With playstation type there's no easy way to guess it.

Usually that means that source files are not a valid CD rip. This usually happens if the audio files were edited, or the album is a web release by the artist, which was never meant for CD.

Today after the XPSP3 live update the program now return this error and return in the initial state (waiting for press the go button):

No idea yet. We'll see if someone else has the same problem.
What was in that update? There's usually a link to a knowledge base article on the microsoft website in update log.

Ok thks
I think I will just delete the data track in this cue as the fact that F2K will not load it is very unpractical anyway.

This is an old update. It should have come more than half a year ago.
Maybe you should try reinstalling http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en

i agree.. and maybe if that fails, the vc++ redistro, that fixed mine (i didn't look at the actual update KB to see what it updated, sorry).

as always, i recommend this tool to at least verify that you have no problems with your .NET installs. See a description, screenshot and links:

As I am thinking about it, one small change that I would like to see in the future is empty silence tracks reported as accurate. I have several of those:

Danzig - 1993 - Thrall-Demonsweatlive (EP)
Danzig - 1994 - Danzig 4 (Digipack)
Korn - 1998 - Follow The Leader
Nine Inch Nails - 1992 - Broken (EP) (Digipack)

Cuetools reports them as not accurate due to [00000000] (00/00) No matches.
There should be an exception for empty tracks as this is a special case.
An empty track doesn't need a match to be accurate

[00000000] (00/00) Empty track. + "Accurately ripped" in batch log would be more usefull, IMHO.

I'm not sure if this validation tool verifies configuration files.

Check your machine.config (Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\machine.config or something like this).
Try adding something like this to the configSections section.
Code: [Select]

Must say, I like this program more and more. I don't think I use the full potential of the program yet, but I'm trying.

I also have 2 requests.
At the bottom of the log there are 2 or 3 rows of checksums (CRC, without null, (if exists) log).
It would be nice if you could add a fourth: AR crc.
I have to use tripleflac now and again to compare two rips who aren't in the AR database yet.
It would be nice if Cuetools could give me the AR checksums.

After updating to 2.0.4a the program asks if it's all right to overwrite a previous log.
Very annoying if you want to batch check a batch which wasn't in the database last time and you want to do a recheck.
Also very annoying when trying out different pregaps.
Couldn't find a setting to disable this message. My second request: I would appreciate if you added such a setting.

Hi,
Thnx for a the 2.0.4a version. The apps works and looks very good now.

I'm still looking for the option to output filenames in lowercase.
Integrating the feature into CueTools will save us lowercase guys for a massive
amout of work when it comes to editing the cue sheet and m3u files.

Also, for some reason the "Force ANSI filenames" changes invalid characters to underscores (or perhaps spaces?). There should either be possible to define a ruleset (ie. define that for example & is changed to and, : is changed to _-_) or just delete the character. Personally I think the extra underscores is a bit annoying.

  TRACK 04 AUDIO
TITLE "We Share Our Mothers' Health"
    PERFORMER "The Knife"
    INDEX 00 06:08:64
FILE "04-The_Knife-We_Share_Our_Mothers__Health.flac" WAVE

I hope that you will consider my suggestions for 2.0.5.

Would also love replay-gain support for multiple FLAC files (not necessarily inside the cue file).
Have you also considered compiling Linux compatible binaries using Mono? Probably some extra work, but I promise I'll use it =)

doesn't the program support foobar variables/functions? i thought i read that... i could be completely wrong though.. but if it does, you could try and use the function $lower(%artist%-%title%) or whatever you want.

I didn't even notice the "a" version was out until yesterday... what is changed? i notice it will ask to overwrite accuraterip log if it exists. seems there may be more default profiles? i also just noticed there is a 64 bit version too... maybe i overlooked this, but it's nice since i'm running 64-bit OS.

yeah, btw, i'm pretty sure it supports foobar naming schema, cause i'm looking in the options and i see it is using some variables. check out this wiki for all of the modifiers (not sure how many or again, if they are even supported, but it's worth a shot): Foobar Title Formatting Reference  [edit: actually i found the exact info on the CUETools homepage... here is the link to it.

so anyone know what else is changed or is there a changelog?

2.0.4a is mostly minor interface fixes, nothing important.

No special binaries required for Linux, x86 ones should work, but... The problem is it only supports wav files when run on linux. This will hopefully change in the next version, when a pure managed FLAC encoder/decoder will be added.

I will add lowercase option, but more complicated things (like the rulesets) will probably have to be done using foobar-style functions, i will add more of them.

Thanks I found it. I'm not complaining, but I would suggest you detect that issue in the program and point the user to the required update, instead of the funky error message.

Why wine? Mono is supposed to be used for .NET applications. There are no tricks, but FLAC will only work with next version. Of course you can try to set up an external flac encoder/decoder, i haven't tried it. You go to the setting page, decoders tab, select one of the decoders and press 'insert'. Then select flac extension, path to flac and parameters like "-d %I -o -"; Than at extensions tab select flac and set the default decoder to whatever you named it.
