scalefactor bands for MP3 and AAC

Hi,

I am encoding the original audio files(with Fs = 44100) using MP3 and AAC at different bitrates (32kbps, 64kbps, 96kbps,..).

As per my understanding, the signal will be coded exactly scalefactor bands depending on bitrate and Fs. Now I am interested to know the scalefactor bands (at which the signal is coded) given the Fs and bitrate.

Inorder to know the scalefactor bands, I need to look the spectrum and come to a conclusion or Any direct formula available ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Raja
