Haven't been on a Mac in years, but when I did I found Max to be pretty good.

And why do you need 320kbps??

Max isn't anywhere as good as XLD http://tmkk.pv.land.to/xld/index_e.html

Hey RobertoDomenico, how should I adjust my settings on the XLD? Are C2 error pointers necessary? Should I leave most of the settings at Auto? What's the best setup for getting metadata? How would you advise me to optimize the audio settings?

Would you recommend that I encode my CDs at a VBR as opposed to 320 kbps with the LAME 3.99 on XLD?
