FLAC creation on EAC 1Beta3

Have done a search and couldn't find a solution , using EAC1Beta 3 on Win7 x64 , I get no errors but no FLAC files only WAV, Test encoder gets No error returned.

Use external compression, user defined encoder, use extension .flac, delete wav & check external selected

Using following

-6 -T "artist=%artist%" -T "title=%title%" -T "album=%albumtitle%" -T "album artist=%albumartist%" -T "date=%year%" -T "tracknumber=%tracknr%" -T "genre=%genre%" %source% -o %dest%

Have tried opening EAC running as admin.  , no difference

Using 0.95 Beta4  all is well no need to run as admin.

... use extension .flac ...

Make sure there is no space character in that box before or after ".flac"

Also, "-o %dest%" in the command line shouldn't be necessary so I would also try without that just in case its a problem

Definately no space, removed -o %dest%  still the same...

Make sure that the path to FLAC.EXE is correct. Can you provide a log file?

I think the problem is that you're trying to use a network path.  Assign a drive letter to that path and try again.

For example, assign
X:
to
\\MUSICNAS\media\

Thx Greynol, that worked tho i thought using UNC paths was meant to be fixed

I guess not.

As an aside:
See the benefit of posting log files?  I usually will not help people with EAC-related problems if there is no log file.

I am having the same problem. I have also had success now using the solution above (mapped drive).

I have an installation of an older version of EAC which works perfectly with flac.exe and network paths.

Thanks
