Winamp DirectSound logarithmic volume control: quiet w/ Stereo Tool on

Subject: Winamp 5.56 Direct Sound output / Stereo Tool Output Plugin

It also seems like I didn't have this problem before I installed Stereo Tool. After I enabled Stereo Tool for Output, I immediately got a lower volume level. Uninstalling it didn't restore the previous  volume level. Now, if I choose Logarithmic for volume control, in Direct Sound, I get virtually no volume until around 50%. which means the volume relative to other programs is very low. Linear volume works fine as does Wave output option, which is also linear. I'd like to use Logo volume because it is much superior to linear for fine adjustment of volume levels.

Today I just have low Winamp volume no matter what output I use. All volume is up in other volume control areas.

Again I can't see any place to edit this message, so I'll just post here I guess. I no longer use Winamp, so this topic is dead.
