Lossless to Lossless?

OK so about 80% of my iTunes library is now ALAC Lossless.  Lets say I burn a cd with all lossless tracks,  Give it to a friend, and then he rips it to ALAC in his iTunes library.  Will he still be getting the lossless quality?

It's called lossless, not lessloss.

If you just put the files on a data disc, you're guaranteed he receives an exact copy, and you can fit more on it. Audio CD is just an unnecessary headache if you just need to transfer some files.
