Is it possible to convert into m4b...

Hello,

im new to this forum and im sorry about my bad english, i hope you will understand what i try to say .

Im using foobar2000 and it is a great tool which is making the life much easier . But i also have a problem with it. I have an Iphone 3GS and at the moment i try to convert my hugh audiobook (mp3) collection into a m4b collection. But when the m4b-file gets largen than 1 GB or more than 12 hours of play, i can hear it in itunes but not on my iphone. The file exists on my iphone, i can jump forward or move backward, but i cant hear anything (by the way, do you know the reason for it? i couldnt find anything in the internet about this problem).

Now i have lot of m4b-files wich are bigger than 1GB or 12 hours of play, and my question is, if i can decide in foobar2000 on a maximum outputting file, so when the maximum size is reached, lets say 900 mb, it will make a new file name in ...(2) or something like that?

If its not possible, do you know a tool, which can splitt big m4b-files into little ones?

Thank you for your help, and sorry for my bad english, still learning

There are two possible limitations to this
1) FAT32 file system supports files of max. 1GB. Maybe you have an NTFS partition on your target drive but IPhone is FAT32 formated.
2) Apple audio book used to be restricted in size - I think it was originally something like 6 hours depending on bitrate. If you copy that say 1GB audio-book to some older model it won't play either.

Solution:

There is no solution within the converter you can only manually split files - but that would require some 3rd party software. I advice you to reduce the bitrate: depending on your personal preference for quality a setting of 0,30 (AAC LC) for the nero encoder is sufficient. It produces than files within the range of 40-110kbps usually about 70-80kbps putting as much as 20 hours of playback into one file. If the file exceeds the length only manual transcode into files less then 1GB will be solution within foobar.

So, true sorry for the wrong information. This leaves only the second option.
