[ToS #6]Adding a button to the "monolite skin"

I have previously used the DUI, and recently switched to the MonoLite 0.4.3 skin. In DUI, I had a button that corresponded to the File > iPod > Synchronise... command for the foo_dop component. What I'd like to do is recreate that button in WSH, but my JavaScript is extremely rusty and I've been making attempts for the last few hours to no effect.

Basically I just want for this button to sync my media player through the foo_dop command whenever I click the button. Is there a way to do this? Could someone help me out?
