surely...

as said above, it works ONLY if %album artist% tag is set and is different from %artist% tag, it's that easy!

Used Foobar to update this tag, and works fine now. Thank you, I only have 1000 albums to update.

Thank you all very much

'can't create a gl rendering context'
'Ok' click!

'release device context failed' error message!

What is the situation?

I have a suggestion. Sometimes it is hard for me (and others I assume) to exactly remember what the abbreviations in the buttons on the bottom say, like SPE, FIL and CSP.
If there is extra space on that line for buttons (as there always is), why not write the full names of the buttons? This would make it easier to use, I think.

Perhaps if someone is using a minimized mode of Xchange, the buttons can go back to being LIB, CHR, etc.

What do you think?

@Falstaff, nice screen shot, looks pretty good.

@Takaji, I think the abbreviations are fine. I really don't find it hard at all to remember these. However maybe you haven't used it enough to remember them?, in anyway it probably would be a good idea, but then everybody would have to have this, or Falstaff would probably need to make an option for this?

Here's something that happens. I have some .apl files. The number of each track only appears when I play the files. When they are not playing the rectangle stays only grey (without the number).

My files are all correctly tagged and this only happens with your configuration

what can i say, this config like all other ones using ELPlaylist just display tracknumbers by the only way to display them => using %tracknumber% tag

maybe a bad issue with .apl files and the tag %tracknumber%,

Yeah, it's just something minor. Some of the ones I mentioned I don't use at all, thus, I don't remember them.

[a href="http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/1461/87175782.jpg" target="_blank"] Oooh..  Looks interesting.  Any notable innovations to the layout editor?

Looks great, Br3tt!  Interesting improvements and changes... can't wait to delve into it more.

One question: The Menu bar appears to have changed.  Looks more Kameleon-like.  Does it also work like it did in Kameleon, which I think is different from the Xchange functionality?
(Just asking because I prefer the Xchange menu)

Menu works like in Xc 2.0.0

Awesome.. Thanks for your response (and your continued efforts!!).

Another question: will there be any way to expand/collapse the Track Info sections?
(Not sure how this was done in past configs...)

[another silly question]

its possible to make IMG panel with aspect ratio?

Xchange v3

short question: on the DA page it says: "1) Download the archive file (.fcl file and images files) and extract it in foobar2000/skins/ folder" , but I don't have such a folder?
I created one in both the ...users/roaming directory and the ...program files/foobar2000 directory and unpacked everything from the zipfile into both of them.
But when I start foobar2000 and import the .flc file, I only get this screen:
It seems to be reading "Script Error" inside the yellow boxes...
What seems to be the problem here?

supposed to be in c/programfiles/foobar2000/skins/xchange.. If i remember correctly you have to make 1 of the folders, but could be wrong

Xchange v3

@fuubaruser:
The "xchange" folder must be in, ...foobar2000\skins\xchange
The "components" must be in ...foobar2000\components
Make sure that is where you put them, not EVERTHING in the zip goes in the "skins" folder, only the "xchange" folder.
Let us know, if this is correct.

Edit: Seems like your images aren't showing at all. Which indicates you probably didn't do something right with the installation, probably the "xchange" folder. It shouldn't matter where the "foobar2000" folder is.
Edit: Spelling errors.

Ok, everything works fine now. Well not everything, but the issues described in my previous post. ( I did not extract the entire folder into /skins but only its content)

Other problems that I am having concern the Chroneflow panel. I was just wondering why the Biograph panel manages to download the picture for any given artist, but the firstmentioned panel does not seem to do that on its own. Instead it seems like I have to manually add a picture of the albumcover named folder.jpg . I have not done so ever since I started my collection, thus I would like to know a way to make the player download the covers automatically, is that possible?

Xchange v3

im not sure if theres a component for that, but its easy enough to do manually....I did it for over a few hundred bands , a little each time I turned foobar on, in like 3 days. Just play a track and hit the little g with the cd (top left corner of xchange ,5th icon in) itll google image the album forya

Whenever I have a CD that contains of 2 or more Discs, what do I have to do that the Chronflow panel only displays one! picture of that album and by double-clicking sends all CDs to the playlist.
Right now I have the same picture twice that says .... CD 1 and ... CD 2. Or, if I do not specify the discnumber in the tags, I do get only one picture but when I double-click it the generated playlist displays track 1 from disc one and then track 1 from disc 2 , track 2 disc 1 track 2 disc 2 and so on.
any ideas?

Do you use exactly the same album title for both your disc, not like for example "Purple Rain cd1" and "Purple Rain cd2"? Also I don't think this has anything to do with the Xchange2 config.
