You are wrong, mp3x perfectly compiles on Windows. Of course, you will need a Windows port of GTK.

BTW, do you know where to get the Windows port of GTK ?
We've got a report that the documents of LAME is out-dated about it, but I don't know how to get it and how to compile mp3x on windows environment (especially with Visual C).
May the source be with you! // Takehiro TOMINAGA

GTK1 for windows is not available from gtk.org. There are two places where you can get it, and they are both linked from gimp.org.

http://www.gimp.org/windows/

http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/downloads.html
http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/old.html

edit: Aah.. There's a link to gimp.org/~tml/ from gtk.org. The ~tml page links to gimp-win.sf.net.

I only managed to compile it with an older version of win-GTK, not with the current version.

thanks for the replies.  after some fiddling around, i was able to compile using cygwin.  however, mp3x is only showing one block at a time in the re-synthesis window.  kind of weird, in the linux version i compiled.  it was showing multiple blocks.  also, is there a link which describes what all different displays in mp3x mean?  thanks.
