foobar playcount and last.fm scrobbler synchronisation

I've been using foobar for some time now, but I've just recently discovered last.fm and audioscrobbling with foo_audioscrobbler. I have my playcounts all written to the tags of the files and I wonder if it's possible to update the last.fm scrobbler with the playcounts of all my files. That way my last.fm play-stats are on par with my foobar library. I hope I have made myself clear enough, is this possible?

Not at all possible. Last.fm disallows any thing past the latest "scrobble" from being added.

I thought it might be like that, I had to ask to be sure. Thanks anyway.

After doing some research their FAQ states that it is possible to import all previous plays from you media player. However this seems to only work with Winamp or WMP and only when using the last.fm scrobbler and only when registering a new account.
When I use either winamp or wmp and import my library to them, these players do no not recognize the %play_counter% tag. So my new question would be, is there a way to make wmp or winamp recognize the play_counter tags? Can I export the play_count stats to those programs?

also iTunes is supported
all three programs store their statistics in their own databases

WMP stores them in C:\Users\*Username*\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player\CurrentDatabase_360.wmdb on Vista
and the only way which i don't even like to imagine is to build script using playCount property in WMP settings object which can read/write this value

Winamp stores them in main.dat and about iTunes i don't know, but i think there is approximate solution using iPod and musicmusic's iPod manager who can transfer statistics between foobar and iPod and then you can transfer them to iTunes (i suppose) or Winamp (pmp_ipod) or even maybe to WMP

If you delete your account and then try again with the same account while still having the software (Last.fm scrobbler) installed, you'll need to re-add your account within the software as well or it won't recognise you as a new user.

So if I understand correctly, a possible way to get your foobar playcounts on Last.fm is: foobar2000 -> Ipod -> Itunes -> Last.fm

even more i just now saw their audioscrobbler add-on script (sbLastFm.js) which allows possibility to send statistics about pending tracks so there is a way without reseting your account to change the playcount data on last.fm with your foobar data and that is: if only someone with enough knowledge in JavaScript is willing to recode it

So I was checking into Songbird, and was trying out the import last.fm play count addon. It's nice, but it only saves the play count to the users profile, and it doesn't save it into the meta data. Was hoping it'd save it to the meta data so it'd be easy to convert to the correct tag in foobar. So much for that option.

Is anyone working on an addon? Surely this can be accomplished?

I requested this some time ago... and I actually tried the Songbird thing too, but I wasn't able to convert the script to use real tags instead of the database entries... I think for someone who actually knows what they're doing, it could be possible, but I have no skill in coding.

Anyway, I'd love a plugin or a script that does this, as I've recently had to reinstall foobar and forgot to back up any data from it. Starting from 0 playcount once again...

Well, maybe if this guy gets a few more comments asking for what scowl has asked, he might move it up the time table? Being able to write the play count data from Songbird into our own customizable tags (id use play_counter) would be exactly what we'd be looking for.
