Way to adjust behavior of Previous?

I noticed that the Previous function goes to music that was previously played. Is there a way to set the Previous function to just go to the previous track, regardless if it was played before?

you could randomize your playlist and just not shuffle when you play songs
that way previous is always song above?

just a thought. other than that.. no way.
