error on .CUE files

Why do I get errors like the following, even when I have excluded CUE files from scans?

Unable to open item for playback (Invalid path syntax):
"E:\allaqs\aqs downloads\Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Pictures at an Exhibition\Pictures At An Exhibition.CUE" / index: 2

Playback continues to the next item, it's just annoying to get these occasional errors popping up.
