MP3 Low-bitrate VBR ~112kbps decode issue

I have noticed this odd issue on foobar's MP3 decoder for a while, but it seems to got worse on the latest version.

For some reason sometimes if I spent a few hours on foobar doing transcoding and ABXing sometimes it will make on awfull popping noise on MP3s when its decoding frames below 128, I have not had this issue with LAME 3.90.3 since its has a 128kbps floor but on 3.97 with V2 it happens. For example if I done a few transcodes and did a ABX test and listen to some music in different formats such as FLAC or Ogg then this bug is likely to kick in. A notable track that is effected by this is Intermission (track 8 on Ænima) by Tool which the decoder really chokes on since it is encoded in very low bitrate.

Sometimes its rare for me to encounter this problem but sometimes it comman. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue.

I will have to do a desktop sound capture or something like that when I encounter this glitch gain.
