WMA - Ripping and converting streams

Hi folks,

I'd like to rip a WMA 9 stream to disc. But I only found asfrecorder for doing that. However the ripped streams sounded somehow jerky.

I think that asfrecorder is not absolutely compatible with WMA 9.

Do you know anything better?

And the second question:

After I ripped the WMA stream, what tool would decode it to WAV with best quality?

I thought of Media Twins Software - Advanced WMA Encoder Decoder but I don't know if it's really that good, and it's not Freeware. Is there something better around and maybe free of charge?

Ok, and some last points: The ripper should not transcode or reencode the stream (like many recorders do), I'd like to get an 1:1 copy of the stream...

Thanks a lot for any help!!

ok, for the ripper I found something really cute:

Stream Download Project 2.0.0

It's really cool and offers excellent results.

Now what's about the decoder?
