HE-AAC v2 ( SBR+PS ) 48 Kbps vs MP3 128 Kbps , which is better ?

as the topic name suggests , which sample will sound better if both samples r ripped from original CD .

can somebody do a ABX test on this for me , as i dont have very poor audio setup and am unable to detect differences myself .

from my tests, mp3 CBR 128 is better, rarely transparent thought (i would assume mp3 abr 128 would be mucho better).

MP3 CBR 128kbps Joint stereo.

But VBR is better, especially at this bitrate.

If you cannot detect any differences (i.e. both are transparent), and the files will be for you listening on your own setup, why not go with the lower bitrate and cram more songs onto the storage device?

i will be moving to a better audio setup in future , so i dont want to be hearing any artifacts .

Well, imo HE-AAC will never be 100% transparent due to the way it works. I'd go for either LC-AAC/MP3/Vorbis at 130kbps if you want to save space.
