Read CRC not showing in EAC

Hi. Ive used this tutorial for configuring EAC and drive options and whenever i enter a CD the Read CRC field is blank in EAC.

It used to show up before and now it doesnt show up unless I actually rip a disc, then, if i take it out, and put it back in, the Read CRC will show up. Could this be a problem with my drive? Because a while back when I used to try to find the gaps it would say my drive wasnt capable and now it works fine. So it seems like things are deciding when to work and when not to.  Thanks

While I can tell you that it's pretty clear the author of the jiggafellz guide doesn't know what he's talking about, I don't think it's the reason for your problem unless it has to do with the Nero ASPI layer which it insists you use.

There's nothing wrong with the native one either if it works for you.  If the problem is a lack of administration privileges, I think there's a way around that...

this is the only user account on this system.
If the Read CRC came up the first time after I ripped a disc when I had ForceASPI installed, why wouldnt it work now?

I really have no idea unless there's a problem with the file EAC uses to store the CRC information or you've got some type of driver conflict.  Do you have a program DAEMON Tools or Alcohol 120% installed on your system or inserted a copy-protected disc that installed a rootkit?
