Nero AAC & Audiograbber 1.83

Hi, are there any comp issues between audiograbber 1.83 se and nero aac? I use nero aac as an external encoder using the command i read in the nero aac recommended settings thread aka "-q 0.5 -if %s -of %d" except i use 0.4 instead of 0.5 and also i tick the option in audiograbber "Encoder is capable of using stdin/stdout as data stream" although i don't know what it does

I can create mp4 just fine and in mediainfo i can see even the tag of nero aac and all the other info seems to be fine. (besides mediainfo the mp4 itself of course it plays fine)

I have although two questions

1) Is something wrong with this method? I mean that audiograbber might need something to be configured because this command as the sticky topic says is for EAC and i was wondering if it's not 100% compatible with audiograbber.

2)This command encodes as VBR, can anyone help me a bit on how to encode in ABR using audiograbber and nero aac?

1) Is OK if you are not after lots of security for scratched cd's . Rip the same songs twice or more for normal and scratched cd's then bit compare the 2 files. If the two rips are consistently identical then your drive is working well and you have nothing to fear except badly damaged cd's.

2) Use -br 128000 or similar

Thanks for the reply, i have one last question though. That option i mention in audiograbber

"Encoder is capable of using stdin/stdout as data stream"

Should i enable this option or disable it?

That option enables on-the-fly encoding. Try and see.

Or download the test & copy version of Audiograbber from here.
