Any windows frontends that are compatible with CDRDAO 1.2.2?

There are Win32 binaries of the most recent version of CDRDAO (1.2.2) available at this page.  However, I cannot seem to find a Windows-based frontend program that actually supports this version.  Trying to use it with Burrrn or BurnAtOnce generates incompatability errors (presumably from where neither app has recently been updated in a while), and I can't seem to find any other program that explicity uses CDRDAO.  Even EAC seems to use an older CDRDAO for some reason (1.1.9).

Any suggestions?  Or is there not anything important in 1.2.2?

That's for CDRTools isn't it?  I don't believe it utilises CDRDAO.

It does if you copy it in the instalation directory. Check the settings page, you  have the tab "cdrdao" and it's controls are greyed if you don't have the cdrdao in the program's directory.

Hmmmmmmm, looking at it and trying it out....... is there even any way to make it use CDRDAO when writing audio CDs?  It keeps using CDRecord everytime, even when cdrdao.exe exists.  Reading the readme or help documents don't help at all.

You click the "Settings" button, then you go to cdrdao tab and check "Write CUE images using cdrdao" and appropriate driver checkbox.

I believe I already did that though, and it still used CDRecord.  Besides, I'm writing an audio CD out of MP3s, so how would a CUE file be of any use or importance to me, particularly as CDRDAO tends to use TOCs?

Well, here is the snapshot of a cdtfe - output window. You go to CD Image tab and select "Write image". Then with the "Browse" find apropriate CUE file. You have to make a cue or toc file in order to burn with cdrdao. You need to decode your mp3's to wavs and write the cuesheet. Maybe CueMaster can help you. If you use this frontend and have a toc file use the "toc2cue" tool from cdrdao package.

Code: [Select]
"D:\Install\Audio software\cdrdao\cdrtfe_portable\cdrdao" write --device 1,0,0 --driver generic-mmc --speed 10 "/cygdrive/D/Musick/1/Jose Miguel Moreno - Pieces Pour Theorbes Francaises/CDImage1.cue"
