Fritz!Fon 7150

Does anyone here have the Fritz!Fon 7150? I'm Waiting for a "yes" before I post my questions.

Edit: I am interested in some of the answering machine's features.

I had the original Fritz!Box Fon WLAN, then the 7050, and now the 7170. Never used any answering machine features though...

Too bad.  What I wanted to know:
  • How's the general quality of the recorded messages and of the pre-recorded annoucements?
  • Do you have to use the mobile device in order to listen to recorded messages or does the "Basisstation" (how do you call than in English? - it's the main device where you put the mobile unit in order to recharge) have a loudspeaker?
  • Can you listen to the person who is calling after the answering machine picked up the call and in case I want to talk to that person, "switch off" the answering machine and pick up myself? If yes, do I hear the answering machine's announcement and the person at the other end over the mobile device or over the "Basisstation"?

Ah now i get it, you're talking about the version with the DECT cordless phone. I think i can give you an answer about 2), from a forum post:

"Das Telefon ist einfach zu bedienen, die Konfiguration über den Rechner macht vieles einfacher (Telefonbuch usw.). Bedenken sollte man, dass der AB nur über den Hörer kontrolliert werden kann. Ein Lautsprecher passte wohl nicht mehr in die Basis (oder ich habe ihn nicht gefunden). Das Display ist ordentlich (in etwa mit den ersten Handys mit Farbdisplay zu vergleichen)."

The manual seems to support this, there is a "Freisprechen"-speaker in the cordless phone, but not in the cradle.

Thanks CiTay. I also received an answer from AVM and indeed, there is no speaker in the cradle (so that's the name! ). Also, after the answering machine picked up the call, you can take over the call, but it seems that you aren't able to listen who's calling before picking up yourself.
