FLAC file size limit and workarounds 2007-04-03 18:53:55 I have a ~7 GB wav file I would like to compress to FLAC. It's a 24 bit / 48 kHz multichannel file. My problem is that when the FLAC file reaches 2 GB the encode stops and I get this error:-: ERROR during encodingstate = FLAC__STREAM_ENCODER_CLIENT_ERRORAn error occurred while writing; the most common cause is that the disk is full. From reading other posts here on hydrogenaudio I understand that "flac.exe" has a 2 GB file limit even if the FLAC format supports larger files.Does anyone have any good ideas how to do the encode? One idea was to split the huge WAV file into two smaller files and encode the separate files. The question is what tool I could use to the splitting?
