spectrum analyser/album art question

This probably cannot be fixed, but im using columns UI, and when the Album Art panel is open, i've got it cycling between photos in the albums, but everytime it switches, the spectrum analyzer hickups and stops for a split second.  Its kind of annoying.  Is there anyway to stop this problem?  Its understandable if it's out of control.  Any ideas?
