Laptop speakers and external speakers

Hi, I found some speakers and wanted t use them for my laptop, but I wanted to make it so that sound would come out from the laptop speakers and the external speakers.  But, the only place to plug in the speakers is the headphones jack, and that cancels out the laptop speakers.  So, is there any way to get it to work with the for speakers while using the headphone jack, or would I need to buy something separate?
