mplayer and RealAudio streams

Hi,

I was hoping MPlayer could play about everything. But it seems realaudio streams do not work. I've got the latest release plus the codec package.

This is what happens:

Code: [Select]
mplayer http://www.bbc.co.uk/cymru/live/rc-live.ram

MPlayer dev-SVN-r20440-4.1.1 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team
CPU: Intel Celeron 2/Pentium III Coppermine,Geyserville (Family: 6, Model: 8, St
epping: 10)
CPUflags:  MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 0 SSE2: 0
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 SSE

Any help? I can tell the stream works with free realbloatplayer 10.5. Someone please let me know if he's able to play the stream. Maybe my mplayer doesn't find the codec in the codec-subdirectory? I'm on windows.

Solved: "mplayer -playlist [args]" does the job.

I don't understand why mplayer doesn't detect by itself that it does open a playlist file in case of .ra; because in case of e.g. .asx it does not need such flag in the command line.

.ra is not a playlist extension, .ram is.
