Issues with cue sheets in EAC.
I am in the proces of burning some CD-R copies of CDs and have run into an odd issue.  With some cue sheets, upon loading into EAC, I get an error which says "INDEX position is behind end of FILE in line xx".

Does anyone have some insight into why this happens and hwo it can be fixed?

Post a cue sheet ( use {codebox}{/codebox} tags except with ''[]'' please ) and state which line number is flagged in the error message.

And, are these WAV files that you have ripped?

Sounds to me that a cue for tracks with prepended gaps is being used with tracks that either have gaps appended or gaps that are left out.

the blue line is the line of error.

also how can i tell by looking at a cue which method of gap appending was used?

You can tell this cuesheet is non-compliant because the FILE command comes between INDEX 00 and INDEX 01; therefore the INDEX 0 entry refers to the previous file (gaps appended to the previous track).

Code: [Select]
INDEX 00 02:55:00
FILE "02 - Bangles - Going Down To Liverpool.wav" WAVE
INDEX 01 00:00:00

Edit: take a look at the wiki page examples to spot the differences.

But this in and of itself does not tell you how gaps were handled during the rip.
