Podcasts showing up under "Artists" on iPod

Hello,

I am using iTunes 7 and a 5th gen iPod.  In iTunes, under "library" and "device", music and podcasts are segragated into their own sections.  But on the iPod, podcasts are mixed in with music.  On th eiPod, podcasts do show up in the "podcast" section, but they also show up in the music section (when browsing by artist for example).  Is there a reason why they are all mixed up on the iPod (unlike in iTunes)?  Can this be changed so that the podcasts do NOT show up under music?

That's just the way the ipod does things. If you can't stand the mess, here is a workaround:

Go into the Podcasts section of iTunes and select all your podcasts > right click > get info > change the artist to "Podcasts". Now when you transfer them to your ipod, all your podcasts will get filed under one artist called "Podcasts" and won't clutter up the Artists menu.

Of course, you'll have to continue renaming new podcasts as  they come in.
