Flushing Error when converting from flac to mp3

Anyone else seeing this?  Occasionally when I'm converting files from flac to mp3 it bombs out completely with some kind of data flushing error.  If I start over again, I usually don't get the error a second time.

what is the command line that you are currently using? also, which LAME encoder are you using?

I'm using the -V 2 --vbr-new conversion preset in the newest version of Foobar with LAME 3.97 final.
