Free Music: www.jamendo.com

If you are looking for free and legal music check out:

http://www.jamendo.com

All the music on the site is licensed under the
Creative Commons licenses (www.creativecommons.org),
making it 100% free and legal.

Downloads are available as high-bitrate MP3s (LAME -APS) and OGGs (-Q7),
but please note that you will need either a Bittorrent client or eMule to download the albums.
They do, however, also have a nice preview function that allow you to prelisten to the
content through streaming.
If you like the music, it's also possible to directly donate to the artists.

I used to think that all that "free music" was crap, but this is definitely not true,
there are some real gems to be found.

I think it's an awesome site. Give it a try, you won't regret it, I promise

Cheers!
Klaas

Yea, I like Jamendo  and I also discovered Magnatune recently: http://magnatune.com/
but I haven't checked the songs on Magnatune yet

Magnatune will be integrated as a "free" music store in the next version of Amarok.
