Which music player implements proper folder monitoring?

I rip with dbpoweramp and want my music program to be aware of the new music I got without me having to do anything. That is, update the music library and show me what has been added.
I'm getting sick of testing programs; none do this!

foobar: nope

winamp: nice try. You can rescan the entire library every 2 hrs. Pathetic.

MusicIP: good 'watch folders' feature. However it's so eager that it prevents dbpoweramp from writing tags on occasions! (Horrible programing).

Mediamonkey: it has a folder monitoring (paid version). I won't even try it. Version 3 is so screwed up that I won't even read my library. it dies (well, hungs and have to kill it) before 1/4 of the way. Pathetic how a decent program (2.5) gets this bad.

Jriver: Very bad on all other aspects anyway. Don't care if it does this.

WMP: same as above

Itunes: same as above

Such a simple thing. So difficult to get...

Thoughts?

Have you tried the foo_dirwatch plugin for foobar?

Urlwolf, I am curious to know what’s wrong with Windows Media Player’s folder monitoring. I wished iTunes had that functionality so with iTunes’ excellent folder management and WMP’s excellent folder monitoring would have made iTunes have the best of both worlds.

[Edit]

Ahh, crap, didn't know he'd made it shareware...
Though maybe all your music falls under one root folder anyway?

Nothing wrong, it's just that I don't like the other features (tagging is a pain; different format support is so-so, memory consumption, etc). No replaygain support either.

I would love to see a windows software that does this efficiently!

Amarok in linux has an excellent Folder Monitoring feature.

What was so bad about Jriver (MC 12?)

By the way, MC 12 does have an option for auto-import.

I recommend 1by1 "the directory player"
