column ui: create left toggle area?

Ok. When I am in the Layout page I see the option "Locked" and "Create left toggle area". I've tried both of them and am unsure as to what each of them does. I assumed "Locked" meant you cant resize the panel after you've locked it, but this doesn't seem to be the case as I can resize panels left and right even when everything is Locked. For "Create left toggle area" I have absolutely no clue as to what it does.

Locked means that the panel doesn't resize when the window gets resized. For "Create left toggle area" I also have no idea.

"Locked" mean that when you resize the whole fb2k window the panels size and proposition dosen't change.

"Create left toggle area" mean that you can hide and re-show the panles by clicking on the left area of the window, in the place where the panel end and the border of the window begin.

So, before clicking on toggle area:

Ahh. Thanks for the info. Is there anyway to make the panels unresizable when I mouse over the borders of the panels? I want to lock the size of the panels from any accidental resizing when I'm clicking around the layout.

Yes, but not what you're searching for:

- Lock workstation.
- Shutdown windows.
- Don't click and type.

IOW: No.
