Change Volume?

Hi!
How can I change the Volume of foobar 2000 (like in winamp oder microsoft media player)? So that it's quiter than an other prog. For example Skype or teamspeak, so i have a kind of background music, when talking with these progs.

Thanks.
J.J.

Best thing is probably to get the volume control toolbar (foo_uie_volume.dll). This seems to require columns_ui though.

Or you can use + and - on your numpad.

foobar2000 0.9 only:

Or use the volume slider in the default user interface, by clicking on the volume indicator in the lower right corner of the window.

Or use the mouse wheel while keeping the mouse pointer on the volume indicator.
A riddle is a short sword attached to the next 2000 years.

I have a feeling that he needs to make sure that the "Control Which Device setting in the "Volume Control toolbar" preferences is set to "foobar2000 internal" and not set to his sound card.  This will ensure that volume changes in fb2k only affect fb2k, and not skype, etc.  BTW....this is in foobar 2000 0.83.  Not sure what setting it would be in 0.9.

Just to clarify, this is specific to the columns ui extension and not foobar's volume control DSP that comes with the core.

I've been looking for how to do this, but it doesn't seem to work by default. Where can I adjust the mousewheel volume setting? Do I really have to install a plugin?

Not here. I just reinstalled it to make sure everything is default.

It does work. Have your pointer over the x.xxdB text on the far right of the status bar. Roll the wheel up and down and the volume should change in 1dB increments (the only sane increment available in all the ways to change the volume; hint, devs ). If this doesn't work, I'm lost to explain why.

That worked. Thanks.

I'd still like to not have to click there first though. As long as foobar is active I'd like to be able to adjust volume by simply using the wheel, like winamp. Any idea if that's possible?

No bother. I don't know about your second question, though; sorry!

That's probably becuase you have the foo_ui_columns installed.
As soon as you disable it and return to the default you can change the vol. by simply hovering+scroll

Here's for 0.9

Call me stupid, but I've been looking like 10mins for it. It isn't in the menu or in the properties....

so here goes:
Rightclick your toolbar, 'toolbars' -> check 'Volume'

done.

That must be for Columns UI only, because I cannot see it.
