EAC error message

While using EAC V.0.95 prebeta 5 and Lame 3.90.3 (yeah, I know that 3.97 beta is the new recommended version, but I wanted to rip copies of a cd in both to do my own listening tests) I get the error: The external compressor returned an error.

I'm using the command --alt-preset standard, which is also presented in the pop-up notifying me of the error.  Does anyone know what could be causing this error?

Thanks.

Do you have %s %d in your command line?  It should look like this...

--alt-preset standard %s %d

It sets the source and destination file output for the external compressor.  It is not part of lame rather part of how eac transfers the filenames and tags to lame to reproduce the file.

Good luck in your ABXing.  You'll need it.
