I have found a bootleg on the net that says:

So what is that?

Means

Taken from the Soundboard / Exellent quality

(Generally the term used for the best quality bootleg. Though some people call radio broadcasts (or sometimes even audience recordings) for soundboard, and some use the term exellent rather loosely.)

So I'm tagging my files and I ran into a problem: What would be the appropriate media definition of such a source?
I don't see anything that I think is on target so if someone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

I would not know. bercause it depends on the ACTUAL source of your bootleg. If the bootleg is labeled soundboard and you have the title of the bootleg why not do a search on the net and see if some fansite mentions what source (soundboard from concert. radio broadcast. TV broadcast. outtakes) it's really from.

I don't know how you get soundboard recordings from concerts. It will most likely mean that someone plugged into the soundboard and copied the output, but by which means I do not know.
