Time FFT and damping

hi everyone,

i am using Short term fourior transform to analyse tennis racquet vibration. i have extracted the resonant frequecnies using accelerometers and i am calculating Q factors using the decay rate in m.s2. i would like to know if this method is A. valid and B. how can i get a bench mark test??

i have written a short 3 page papper describinbg the method of analysis so post you email and i can send.
