Recording after autostart

Following an idea that popped in my mind in different thread (and since this is another issue I think it's better to start new one...):

I know it is possible to start foobar with some command from menu executed - although I failed initially at it  . But that's not the problem. You see, I want to use foobar as automatic (link in autostart) speex recorder = use the Record item form the menu. However the item has some options in it, thta needs to be set before recording. Is it possible to automate this?
