Foobar and Google's Summer of Code

I don't know if this is even the right place to be asking this question, but would Foobar's developers be interested in becoming a mentoring organization for Google's Summer of Code program?

The summer of code program is designed to foster student interest in Open Source by offering a stipend (from google) for work on an open source project. More information is at the link below.

foobar2000 is not an open source project, and won't be for various reasons that have been staed in previous posts.

My mistake; I misread "Most of standard components are opensourced..." from the main page.
