Great! Thanks Bryant.

You might want to add VUPlayer http://www.vuplayer.com to your list of WavPack supporting players. I am not sure if the author of that player knows about your 4.2 update. He is pretty good about including updates, if you let him know.

Just for kicks and giggles, I uploaded a Solaris SPARC compile of WavPack 4.2 to RareWares. Hopefully soon, Kuniklo will provide a MacOS X compile.

Roberto.

Beautiful. Thank you!

BTW. Are Kuniklo's XMMS plugin getting mature enough for the regular user now?
And would it in that case be useful to include it on WavPacks official site?

Many thanks Bryant for this great codec.

If people is interested, Toff has made a new package of directshow filters (a splitter and a decoder) for wavpack and matroska files. It's not finalized yet but works fine with stereo files...even in WMP.

Status (2005-04-05) :
---------------------

Alpha .wv splitter added, should works with lossless and hybrid file (autoload .wvc file if present)

24 bits PCM and 32 bits floats should now works.

More than 2 channels support not implemented yet.

Improved seeking from .mka file (require last Haali's Splitter version)

Any plans for a commandline replaygain scanner for Wavpack? A wvgain or wavpackgain or something?

The sporadic performance bug has been fixed, so I'd consider it at beta level now.

Yes. But it seems David plans to now prioritize ASM optimizations of some routines for several target platforms, at first M68K (for the iRiver RockBox) and TI DSP (for the Neuros).

But a replaygain scanner is definitely in his todo list
