It may be that you WMA file is DRM'd (copy protected).  If that's the case your SOL (sadly outta luck).  I've been successful using Goldwave to convert WMA files.  Also, there are WMA plugins for Winamp that allow WAV output.  I hope you find a suitable solution.

I don't think the WME able to decode  WMA to WAV,

Beside the fb2k player and winamp5 are able to decode WMA to WAV, with Diskwriter.
dbPweramp also can,
but plaese make sure you have the latest Window media player or codecs installed on system to get them work.

one workable way to decode DRM'd files (WMA, AAC, etc) to wave is to use a program (like Windows Media Player, Media Jukebox or iTunes) that allows you to burn cd's from such files. A necessary part of burning to a cd is decoding the files to wave format. So, tell the program to create a disc, find the temporary location where it's writing the wav files (this may take some work), and then copy them to another location. Then you can encode them to whatever format you wish.
There may be extra work involved here if the program decodes to some wav-like format but with a diff header construction. Maybe more work than it's worth.

Oh, and this all presumes the DRM'd files are enabled for your computer. If you got them from someone else, then you're back to SOL.
God kills a kitten every time you encode with CBR 320

Have you tried with Nero burning or SoundForge 7.0?

All options are possible.

If the files aren't DRMed, maybe the problem exists between the desk and the chair.

Tell us exactly what you're doing.

you are looking for ffmpeg (or -based app)

there is one for mac (hyperion - gui) and a simple cli on *nix (wma2wav) and i'm sure there are others.

k3b (cvs) now has an ffmpeg plugin and with it's File Conversion feature it supports wma.

(selection)

(progress)

the same code is the base for all the wma output plugins, also (lamip, xmms, bmp)

wma2wav is written by the xmms-wma author. his site is here: http://mcmcc.bat.ru/

you'll find lots of information for what you want to do

later

edit: oh, all that linux software is at rarewares/debian (so, minus hyperion) + added links

I can't Discwrite the WMAs to WAVs using the fb2k though every other file type is fine. What's the trick?
