Try using Lucida Console as the font.

Ohhhh, that solved it, it was even in the instructions (stupid me)

Strange that a font can cause something like this, I'm a noob though

Well that's because the formatting uses characters not found in all fonts (or perhaps even symbols that are only in Lucida Console, I've never used it so I don't know).
