WMA lossless to iPod

I have a bunch of CD's backed up to data DVD's in WMA Lossless (unprotected, of course),  and am considering buying an ipod.

Apple says in their site that iTunes will convert to AAC for updloading to ipod,  but as elsewhere,  WMA support may not be necessarilly WMA support. 

Has anyone successfull converted WMA Lossless to AAC with iTunes?

Several people here are using WMA lossless as an intermediary for ripping to Apple Lossless. I'd expect the conversion to AAC wouldn't be a problem.

The conversion is slow, but it works just fine. I have many WMA Lossless files I have converted to 192 AAC in iTunes.

You will love iTunes and your iPod. I use my Mini EVERY day and all over the world. The integration between software and player is simply unmatched.

iTunes can read WMA files in and convert them to AAC, ALAC, MP3, whatever. So if you set the Importing Prefs to AAC, then you can drag in the WMA lossless and it'll convert 'em.

You can try this before you get an iPod, if you want. iTunes is free.
