Connecting to iTunes across a network

Is it possible to play the music that other people on my network (at work, for example) are sharing using iTunes?  I know I can can use iTunes on my computer to listen to their music, but I'd much rather use Foobar, of course.

If it is possible, please provide a detailed example of how to connect to an iTunes server like "Jane's Music" (a name by which a shared library might appear in iTunes).

I've looked all over with Google and with searches here and haven't found anything related to this subject, so please forgive me if the question has been asked before (and refer me to the original thread).

Thanks!
