CD-RW problem in XP

If I put CD-RW media in a CD-RW drive, Win XP should provide "Erase this CD-RW" in the drive menu. But recently, it doesn't work, may be after installing CD writting software. Does anyone has ever had this problem? How to solve it?

Thanx.

Wasn't there a patch for the integrated burning SW? Can't give you more nfo since I never used that (and won't do in the future).

After some experiment, I got what had caused it. It's not SW burning program like what I said, but It caused by ASPI driver from Adaptec v4.71. After I dissabled the driver, my XP going right for burning.
