AC3 Listening

I rip some AC3 from Concert DVDs and use foobar2k for playback. I tried to rip the AC3 5.1 chanel and AC3 2.0 channel.  So far I use HRTF dsp plugin. Is there any advantage to use the 5.1 channel instead 2.0 ?

No, not really. But I always get the 5.1 anyway.
