Genres in album List

Can someone tell me how I catalogue my Album List a bit better. I have some 300 Cd's all in a line, but I would like to put them into Genres, Rock, vocal etc. Please help.

Following on from above post, I would also like to put each aertist in his own folder as well.

Are you using an older version of foobar?

I think it was 0.8 in which a new albumlist was introduced, that lets you view by genre (as one of the default views)
[it relies on tags or entries in the database]

What do you mean? album list sorted by artist? That is also in >= 0.8 album list
