AT&T Text-To-Speech

AT&T Text-To-Speech is now available for online testing. One can try differnet men/women voices speaking US English, UK English, Latin Am. Spanish, French and German.

I think this is definitely an improvement over earlier tts engines.

Very good, can't get the intonation right in some places, but some others are near-perfect.

I wonder if it takes less then couple of gigabytes (meaning tend of modern programs and space needed for leading text-to-speech apps).

The spanish voice is absolutely unbelievable, much better than anything I´ve listened previously

I don't know about this TTS engine, but I use the Scansoft RealSpeak (a slightly older version... 2 years), and it sounds quite nice.  It takes about 150 megs per voice.  I imagine their newer version takes a little more, but most likely not a great deal.
