EAC setup for freedb

HI, brand new to this (did use Search).

How do I setup EAC to use this database to tag the MP3 files?

Under freedb options I have checked "use local freedb.." Path appears to be correct.

Under Compression OPtions I checked the 1st box for ID3V1.1
%A - %L - %T

Using the latest V0.95 prebeta 5 EAC
LAME 3.951
freedb 1.5PL3  zip

EAC performs well and Tags the tracks with the info I manually inserted in upper RH corner.  Displays these tags under WMP9 and Real.  I even tried to leave those fields blank, yet nothing is inserted.  In either case the filename displayed under Windows Explorer is "TRACK01.MP3"

I tried to uncheck the "use local freedb" and then let it search for freedb server, which it found http://freedb.freedb.org:80/~cddb/cddb.cgi  but still no tags.
And I received no error messages.
Have also rerun the EAC wizzard w/no improved results.

wasssup!
Would appreciate a little setup help.

TIA

After you've put your CD in and the untagged tracks appear in EAC select Database > Get CD Information From > Remote freedb, or simply use Alt+G.

EXCELLENT!

Works Great!  Thanks

Next issue: What's the proper sequence to Tag tracks which are not within the freedb?
My feeble attempt: EAC to create WAV file/ EAC to <Edit ID3 Tags>/ RazorLAME to encode to MP3.  Seemed to work, Real displays the Album, Artist, but Track is displayed as Track01.  Also the player seems to be playing, however no sound.

Another issue: How to batch encode after WAV files created?  I see how to do this within EAC, and it works, except that it only Tags the track name.  The only way I can get all the Tag info within the MP3 file is to let EAC copy from CD and Encode in one step.

Again TIA

Use Gracenote CDDB with EAC. First, download & install the freeware, Player. Perform the CDDB lookup with Player and export the info as "cdplayer.ini."

Then import it into EAC (database=>get CD information from=>cdplayer.ini.)

Just use All2Lame for batch encodes. IMO, it's easier to use than EAC for batch encoding. If you're using the same LAME encoder & presets, the resulting mp3's will be the same.

Or, just use RazorLame...
