worried about nero scan report...

Hello !

here is the report from a
nero scan
I've run on a freshly
burnt DVD-R :

Starting file test
Files: 29
Directories: 0
Size: 4398 MB
Errors: 0
Speed: 3.6 X (4882 KB/sec)
File test completed
Starting surface scan
Good: 99.73 %
Damaged: 0.00 %
Unreadable:  0.27 %
Surface scan completed

I'm a little worried when I read
it...

0.27% is unreadable : does it mean
that some files are definately corrupt ?
On the other hand, it says "0.00% damaged"...

What are the conclusions ?
Is there something to worry about ?
Will I have to burn a new copy ?

Thanks!

AFAIK, good sectors are - well - good, damaged sectors are the ones where the correction kicks in (and recovers them) and bad sectors are unrecovable.

If I were you, I would burn another copy. Maybe your drive does not like the DVD-R. Try getting DVD-Rs from a different brand (Verbatim is pretty reliable).
