4-MP3 Software - Database for MP3 Files

Hi 2 Everyone!!!

I have a questions to everyone who use (used) this GREAT Software:

      4-MP3 Version 2.4 (1999)

I have 2 Links for this Software:

I use it since many years for Cataloguing my MP3 Files.
(In my opinion this Tool is GREAT)

My QUESTION are:
============
  Is the 2.4 version the last one or have someone a something newest?
 
  MAKER of this Tool are:
      Dmitry Kovalenko & Patrick Thibodeau
  I tray to contact this person, but without success!
  Is in the whole HYDROGENAUDIO World someone who knows someone
  of these persons (or could someone help me contact one of this persons)??

  If the version 2.4 is the last one -
  Is it possible to continue the GREAT work of the two "boys" -
  Do you see a chance (possibility) to update/extend of this Tool???

No help for you, but i searched for a new version of this program a couple of years ago...no success.
However i'm interested in any news about it since i think it "was" a powerful and fast program...

just 1 qustion: why u dont look for MPEG Audio Collection???
Ist developed again.

U can find it at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac/

Try it. And look at the list of developers...

As a closed source, shareware program, don't expect somebody else picking up the development. You better look for alternatives...

I downloaded the MPEG Audio Collection Version 2.91 albpha8 (August 2003).
and I am now on testing.

First I must say a great work of Jurgen Faul & MAC Team!!!

But the functions, power and speed of 4-MP3 v2.4
I could not find (till now) in the MPEG Audio Collection 2.91.

I still hope to find the authors of 4-MP3 and maybe they wold be
"readily" to continue their GREAT work (Aufter 4 years break =;-))

I got a eMail with some hints (to find the authors of 4-MP3)
but during the weekend I don't get any answer.

that suxs, i got alot of mpc albums so I just ignore that
