Restarted PC to see maybe that would fix anything. On the new portable instance, foobar runs for a few minutes but then I get this crash.

Hi @thisisbleak,

I did not encounter that crash and I'm using Georgia-ReBORN everyday, seems like a rare race condition in the Library initialization.
Anyways, I made it now more robust ( tested for 5 minutes with a reload loop ) and hopefully this is fixed.
Try a new portable clean install with the original files only from the zip file ( no additional user-components installed ):

If you encounter any errors, please post in the DEV thread here:
https://github.com/TT-ReBORN/Georgia-ReBORN/discussions/74
Or in the Georgia-ReBORN thread here:

I did only discovered this thread because regor (thx btw  ;)) contacted me...

Sucks because I really like both the Georgia and Georgia reborn themes. Any alternatives to SMP?

You could try using Jsplitter which runs SMP+JSP scripts (and is also x64 compatible) and see if that makes a difference?

https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,126743.msg1052994/topicseen.html#new

Try creating a View>layout>scratchbox with a Jsplitter panel.
Paste the existing problem panel script(s) and if they render, replace the problem panels with the scratchbox.

There is no JScript Panel 3 (foo_jscript_panel3) in the crash report.
SHURE SRH1840, SENNHEISER HD660S2, SENNHEISER HD620S, SENNHEISER HD 490 Pro Plus, beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO, HiFiMAN Edition XS, Bowers & Wilkins P7, FiiO FT5, 水月雨 (MOONDROP) 空鳴 - VOID, Nakamichi Elite FIVE ANC, SONY WH1000XM5 (made a Upgrade/Balanced Cable by myself)

You're right, sorry... just checked the crash report again. It's stated in the components section.
JSScript is not JScript Panel :P

So a bit of news. Both good, both bad.

There's nothing wrong with either themes. There was also nothing wrong with either instance of foobar.

The real culprit has been my CPU. Foobar was just the beginning of my problems as after a while I had started getting random access violation crashes in my web browser. Tested different browsers, all violation access crashes. Games had also been crashing randomly, then I started to get frequent BSODs.

After hours of trying to troubleshoot and coming up short for solutions, I decided to just try and fresh reinstall windows and start over from scratch. Formatted my internal m.2 and did a fresh Windows 11 Pro install. That's again when I started to run into additional issues.

1.) CRC error every time I tried installing Geforce Drivers.
2.) Internal System error every time I tried to install direct-X runtime.

Something had definitely gone absolutely apeshit with my system within the last week or so which is what was causing all the random application crashes and system lock ups. I tried every solution I could find which ranged from SFC commands in cmd, relocating the temp folder, reseating the ram, reseating the cpu and repasting, installing drivers manually instead of using executables, reinstalling windows on a separate drive, turning off xmp plus many more fruitless attempts at fixing whatever the fuck was going on.

Finally found a reddit post that had been describing exactly the same problems that I had been going through, he also gave up trying to self-diagnose and repair and he ended up taking it to a PC repair shop. His problem was that his 13900k had suffered permanent degradation which had made his system completely unstable. I remember reading about the 13 and 14 series intel chips having some serious power draw and cooling issues sometime back and unfortunately it was already after the fact I had built my rig. Guy in the OP had to RMA his chip which took 2 months but said the overall process had been smooth. So I already opened an RMA request with intel and right now it's just a waiting game.

Another user posted a temporary workaround solution that should keep my system stable enough to run normally at least until the replacement arrives. Had to download intel XTU and under-volt the P-Cores and E-Cores and reduce the fixed e-core voltage. After doing that...... drivers suddenly installing as normal. And foobar? Running crash-free on both Georgia and Georgia reborn themes ever since. I'm not sure what exactly had happened that caused the CPU to become unstable as I have never touched the bios settings, never overclocked the cpu or had done any sort of tuning whatsoever. Just updated the BIOS last night which from what I understand included an intel microcode update which addresses the voltage issues so maybe that will keep the system from crashing, for now anyways? Hopefully this is the last of my problems and I want to thank all of you for helping me.

Seen those reports on hardware forums this year, ALL intel CPUs from last years are prone to degradation at some point due to fabrication + default bios problems. Good luck with that.

My previous rig had an i5-3570K and I built it back in 2012. Still works like a charm, I just decided to give it to my wife when I built my current rig as she only needed a computer for web-browsing and occasional photoshop work. Also built a rig with another 13900k for my son since he likes to play his games on demanding settings, so I'll have to address those issues again once they inevitably happen. In your opinion, once they contact me, should I get a refund and replace the chip and board with AM5 system instead? Or just get a replacement chip and wait until the 15series chips come out?

Well it's supposed that if you install the same CPUs with microcodes and all bios updates, then no degradation will happen (and you have to believe that xd). But already affected chips are broken, no way back.

Personally the whole situation and the way it was handled (it was denied during months) is enough reason for me to just get the money. And let's not talk about the thousands of reports everywhere from people saying something is broken in all platforms and software when it's just their system... this will not end in a decade. Most people have zero clue about what's going on and unless you get severe degradation it may be unidentified (as I pointed before, things don't work fine and then one day magically stop working -without updating anything- unless it's a CPU/Disk/RAM problem). I would not doubt and just choose AMD.  But people may differ.

Just actually checked when I had ordered the 13900k and it was December in 2022. The cpu didn't even give me 2 years xD. Corsair iCUE H150i Elite AIO cooler too so it's not like it was improperly cooled (I clean the fans and rad out once a month so there's no extra dust buildup.) 9950X is the chip I currently am looking at.

Good to hear your issue was solved, but I'm surprised you saw stability problems with foobar2000 first. All the articles about the stability problems have been talking about how it happens under gaming or benchmarking or other heavy CPU stressing. Something foobar2000 music playback should be the very opposite of.
